Photo above, a view of Kennedy Center Banquet Hall (the old cafeteria) from the Auditorium. The blue wall, in the rear, is a divider that will be opened for our reunion, doubling the dining capacity. The front and back sides of the Banquet Hall have glass walls, as well as the other two side walls that face enclosed outdoor courtyards, making the space seem cavernous. (You should be able to zoom in on the photo and pan to the left or right.)

REUNION INFO—Detailed Discussion

The John F. Kennedy High School in Willingboro, NJ was decommissioned and ultimately converted into a multi-purpose recreation center serving the township. In April 2015, a new Banquet Hall was dedicated in the renovated and expanded cafeteria. The Banquet Hall can host all-day events with up to 350 seated participants.

Former administrative offices were torn out to create a large lobby at the Main Entrance, which opens up all the way back to the old cafeteria. This lobby has a comfortable lounge with many chairs, couches, and even a piano (see panoramic photo below). There are other lounges—and if you remember all those long hallways—plenty of room to mill about!

Our reunion is open to all JFKHS 1971 alumni, their friends and family, as well as other JFKHS class year alumni who are interested in seeing old friends. Also, since the 1971 class represents the first group of Willingboro/Levittown students who went through the entire system from K-12 grades, anyone who went to school with us but did not graduate JFKHS in 1971, for whatever reason, are especially welcomed! (For more info, tap or click on the "Who's Invited" link below).

The Reunion Banquet is set for Saturday, September 17, 2016, from 6 pm to 11 pm. We are also opening the facility for all-day activities, starting at 1 pm, where fellow classmates will entertain us in the Main Lobby's "coffeehouse/open mic". Other weekend events are planned for the days before and after the Reunion! These activities depend on successfully generating ticket sales and volunteerism. Your input is vital. Tap or click on the "Reunion Events" button below for more information about reunion events and activities. Tap or click on the "Volunteer" button to do exactly that—volunteer to help, or to learn more about what needs to be done. We also want to hear your ideas about what we could do for during the Reunion Weekend. Return to this website often as things develop!

NEWS ALERT: REUNION BANQUET IS SOLD OUT!!! (Over 200 people are attending.)

Reunion Banquet tickets are set at a very reasonable $45 per person. Tickets sales through this website (see "Tickets" webpage). We also have setup a "Meet & Greet" event at the old high school Friday (9/16) from 3-7:30 pm, followed by an 8 pm "Alumni Welcoming Dinner" at the Golden Dawn Diner. Saturday morning, there is a tennis tournament in memory of George Adams (our popular art teacher and tennis coach) in the Mill Creek Park, 9 am-noon. On Sunday, we will party at the 45th Street Pub in Beverly, NJ (noon-5 pm)! The Pub is located at Route 130 & Charlestown Road/Cooper Street.
Below, a panorama view of the Kennedy Center lobby as you come in through the Main Entrance. Old administrative offices were torn out, creating a large open area. To the left is the corridor leading to the Auditorium, Banquet Hall (former cafeteria), and the former art/music/shops wings. To the right is the long hallway leading to the 2-story classroom wing, and there's another hallway leading to the other side of the Banquet Hall (where the teacher's lounge and library used to be). If you tap or click on the photo, you should be able to zoom in with great detail and scroll to the left or right. By the way, that's Gerri (Toland) Regan talking with Cleteur Counard, Sr. while walking down the hallway on the right.
